74 HOOVER CRIMINAL GANG

The West Side (W/S) 74 Hoover Criminal Gang (also referred to as the "7-Fo Hoover Criminal Gang") are a long standing Hoover set located in the western district of South Los Santos. Known as the "Bay-Bays", they are a long standing and active African American street gang. Founded around 1973, this gang is a subset of the larger Hoover Criminals umbrella.

They are cliqued up with their neighbors to the west: the 83 Hoover Criminal Gang, and their neighbors to the east: the 59 Hoover Criminal Gang. Their closest alliances outside of the Hoover card include the School Yard Crips, 78 Hard Time Hustler Crips, Gardena Shotgun Crips, and the Insane Crips of Del Perro Beach. Throughout the 1980s, the 74 Hoover Criminals, along with the 52 Hoover Gangster Crips, were key players in the drug trade business thanks in part to the efforts of Ricky “Freeway" Ross, operating drug houses across South Central, Los Santos.

The 74 Hoover Criminals are long-term rivals of 6 Pacc East Coast Crips, 65 Menlo Crips, 67 Neighborhood Crips, 76 East Coast Crips, Mad Swan Bloods, Van Ness Gangster Brims, Denver Lane Bloods, and Crenshaw Mafia Gang.

The Hoover Criminal Gang adopted its blue and orange colors due to its history with the Crips, later adopting orange in the 1990s to proudly represent their allegiance to the Hoover moniker, taking on the Houston Astros baseball team’s colors and branding of a blue star within orange outlines with a bolded orange 'H’.

CONFLICTS

Due to many reoccurring rivalries with Neighborhood Crip gangs, Mafia Crip gangs, Menlo Crip gangs, Brim gangs, as well as a long standing hostility towards some Blood and Sureño gangs, Hoover Criminals adopted the "EBK" (Everybody Killer) or "ABK" (Anybody Killer) slogans, along with "BK" (Blood Killer), "CK" (Crip Killer), "OK" (Rollin 00s Killer), "MK" (Mafia or Menlo Killer), and the "NK" (Neighborhood Killer) slogans which is ever present in their graffitis.
